Real Men Mission Statement
YAHWEH NISSI – GOD IS OUR BANNER - Exodus 17:8-15
Our purpose is to stand unified under God’s banner, to make our lives count as men of honour and integrity. We strive to become the men God has designed us to be, to achieve and complete the plan He has for each of us and serve the vision God has for our church. We encourage, inspire and mentor one another to fight the good fight. In our church, homes and work we strive to be spiritual leaders for our families and friends. We reach out to all men as brothers; we will fulfill the Great Commission. We raise our hands, hearts and voices to God, our banner.
Real Men in Focus
SMALL GROUPS
Men’s small groups provide a confidential and personal atmosphere for men to experience the greatest potential for spiritual growth. Amongst 4-6 men hungry for the Word and seeking God a man has close support and the opportunity to learn and have questions answered. Iron sharpens Iron.
SPECIAL EVENTS
By organizing non threatening events and activities men not only get to know each other they feel encouraged to ask family and friends to something that will interest them. The events build relationships with others in the community. It also helps develop bonding amongst our men. Examples are our annual camp, Men’s Breakfasts, fishing, pool nights and bbqs.
LEADERSHIP TRAINING
All of our men are encouraged to attend leadership training held by our church and other groups throughout the year. Our church builds leaders, we think generationally and that means raising up our young men, helping our men reach their potential and honouring the experience and wisdom of our older men.
MEN’S CONFERENCES
Each year we attend the State Men’s Conference to take the opportunity to motivate and ignite our men. The conference gives us the opportunity to hear leading preachers and forge links with other churches. When Men get together with a common purpose amazing things are achieved, it is incredible to see more than a thousand men in prayer and worship!
MENTORING MEN
We learn a lot by example and experience. When men have someone they can look to for guidance they grow, when they have someone they can turn to they can be helped back on track. Our greatest resource are those trailblazers who have done it before us and can help us achieve more than they did by providing inside information on how to get over the stumbling blocks that hold many of us back.
